Our Aims

We are committed to finding new ways of improving the safety and quality of our health care services. We are examining how services are organised in order to develop and test interventions to improve safety and quality of care. We are developing and evaluating practical advances in care and management that make a real difference to our patients and staff at grass-roots level.

As a leading centre of excellence and best practice, King’s PSSQ provides guidance within a number of London NHS Foundation Trusts, and to other health care organisations around the UK, by sharing our learning experiences and new ways of working.

We are building research capacity and improving knowledge knowledge sharing across the health care sector, to enable patients to benefit earlier from the findings. For example, we have developed research placements (secondments) to enable NHS staff to work at the Centre to get fully involved, and to widen their experience.
