Job Title Innovations - PhD Student

Rosamund holds a King's PSSQ Studentship. She studied politics at Sheffield University and went on to work in communications and the public understanding of science and medicine. Having taken an MRes at King’s, she is now a PhD Student at Kings Patient Safety and Service Quality Research Centre under the supervision of Professor Jane Sandall.

Her research focuses on the patient experience of care and the role of the Expert Patient, particularly in chronic disease following complex patient education interventions.  She has a special interest in patient driven medical education and research priority setting. A user-researcher, she is a member of the James Lind Alliance steering group for Type 1 diabetes. 

Her previous research experience includes work on outpatient clinic attendance rates, patient attitudes towards medical appointments for chronic conditions, and health system related obstacles to accessing care.
