Job Title Risk - Research Fellow

Alastair is a Chartered Psychologist and a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health. He came to King’s PSSQ from the University of Strathclyde, where he was a Senior Research Fellow in the Centre for Applied Social Psychology.

His current research interests include medical simulation, care of the older person and hospital inpatient care for diabetes. He has a particular interest in resilient organizational systems.

Previous research has focused on psychological aspects to public health. He was part of the Clean-Air Legislation Evaluation (CLEAN) research team where he collaborated on a study into smoking and drinking behaviour following implementation of the prohibition of smoking in enclosed public places legislation (NHS Health Scotland, £124,990).
